2013-2014 Hockey Season Registration



Welcome to the Stillwater Area Hockey Association 2013-14 Online Registration for Players, Coaches, Managers, and On-Ice Volunteers.

Registration Deadlines

  • Mini-Mites:  Registration is OPEN.  DEADLINE is December 20th.    CLICK HERE for information on the Mite/8U Program.
  • Mite/Girls 8U:  Registration is OPEN.  DEADLINE is October 15th *A $50 late fee will be applied to registrations processed after October 15th. CLICK HERE for information on the Mite/8U Program.
  • Squirt/10U, Peewee/12U, and Bantam:  Registration is CLOSED.  DEADLINE was SEPT 10.  * A $50 late fee will be applied to registrations processed after Sept 10.
  • Girls 14U, JR Gold, Boys U16:  Registration is CLOSED.  DEADLINE was Sept 10. * A $50 late fee will be applied to registrations processed  after Sept 10. 
    ALL eligible players are to REGISTER NOW (even players participating in HS tryouts).  The only fee due at registration will be a $35 tryout fee which is included in your 2013-2014 registration fee.  The balance of the registration fee will be charged via a 3-month credit card payment plan starting Nov 15 with payment in full due on Jan 15.  You may SKIP the USAH registration for now, HOWEVER, ALL players rostered with SAHA will be required to register with USAH prior to the start of tryouts.  *Players who make the HS team will be refunded the $35 tryout fee.  

*After Sept 5:  Registration fees for ALL levels (EXCEPT Mini-Mite and Mite/8U) will INCREASE by $50 to include a late fee.


You MUST register first with USA Hockey (HS aged players-see important note below) and then return to this Registration Session to sign up for the 2013-2014 season.

  • Step 1: CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration to register your player(s) and/or self.  Enter the name in the USAH registration as it appears on his/her birth certificate.  Register using a home address.  DO NOT USE a P.O. Box--- a street address is required.  Be sure to PRINT and SAVE the confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. 

    COACHES/MANAGERS/ON-ICE VOLUNTEERS:  Register yourself as a Coach, Manager, or Volunteer.  Managers and On-Ice Volunteers are NOT charged a USAH registration fee.
  • Step 2:  In order to proceed through the SAHA registration session you will be required to enter the 2013-2014 USA Hockey Confirmation Code(s) that you received in Step 1.  
  • Step 3: After you complete the USAH portion of your registration, return to this page and proceed through the SAHA online registration.  To access the SAHA online registration you will need to login to your SAHA NGIN account.  Do NOT create a new account if you already have one.  If you are adding a new player, you may simply add them to your current account.  Your login is connected to your email address.  Update information as needed.  If you do not remember your password, you can reset your password.  If you do not yet have a website account, you will need to create one.

*GIRLS 14U, BOYS U16, and JR GOLD PLAYERS - If you ARE participating in HS Tryouts, you are NOT required to complete the USA Hockey registration at this time.  If you are rostered with the High School team, USA Hockey registration is NOT required.   If you are rostered with a SAHA team, the USA Hockey registration IS required PRIOR to taking the ice.

Financial Assistance

Squirts/10U, PW/12U, Bantam/14U, Jr Gold, and Boys U16:  CLOSED

Deadline for these levels was July 26, 2013.  Applications received after this date will be considered on a case by case basis and based on the amount of remaining financial aid funds.  FUNDS ARE LIMITED.

Applicants must contact the Financial Aid Coordinator PRIOR to completing online registration.  All SAHA members receiving financial assistance will require a discount code in order to proceed with registration.  All payments will be collected using a credit/debit card or Paypal via the online registration process.  NO CHECK PAYMENT PLANS will be accepted.

DO NOT PROCEED with REGISTRATION until you have…
  1. Contacted the Financial Aid Coordinator.
  2. Reviewed, completed, signed, and submitted the SAHA Financial Aid Guidelines and Application to the Financial Aid Coordinator.
  3. Received acknowledgment and confirmation of financial assistance from the Financial Aid Coordinator. 
  4. Received a discount code. 

Fees for 2013-2014

The table below lists 2013-2014 fees by level. These fees are subject to adjustment between the time of registration and individual team fee assessment in October/November.  Acknowledgment of the SAHA Financial Information assumes you accept and authorize the SAHA Board to adjust fees and to refund or assess a difference via the team fee process in October/November. This is unlikely, but due to undetermined District 2 Fees and ice scheduling, it is possible. Any adjustments would likely not exceed 5%.

General notes on the fees you see below:

  • FEES in BOLD are BASE fees for each level.  This is what you will authorize to pay today.
    • Players selected for a Boys AA, A, or B team will be assessed a fee difference (fees for each team level are located in the fee chart below) to be paid and collected at the team level via team fees in October.  You will be required to pay this difference by check to your team manager no later than November 1st, 2013.
  • In Season Training Program:   Detailed information is available on the SAHA website and includes a breakdown of the training INCLUDED in the registration level fees for Mite/8U Level 3 and Older (EXCLUDES Jr Gold and Boys U16). CLICK HERE for more information.
  • Goalies:  There are NEW policies and fee structures for goalies Squirt/10U and above.  For more information CLICK HERE PRIOR to completing registration.  
  • Registration Fees may INCLUDE but are not limited to:  General & administrative expenses, assessments, practice ice, game ice, 2-3 tournaments, jerseys/socks, referee fees, D2 fees, paid coaching fees (Squirt, PW, Bantam), and training program fees for Mite/8U Level 3 and Older (EXCLUDES Jr Gold and Boys U16).

*Girls 10U, 12U, and 14U registration fees INCLUDE a tryout fee and two pre-skate sessions ($35).

*Boys Jr. Gold and Boys U16 registration fees INCLUDE a evaluation/tryout fee ($35).

ADDITIONAL TEAM EXPENSES/FEES:  The SAHA board requires ALL teams considering additional team fees to have a meeting with parents to discuss team fee items.  Those items are proposed as OPTIONS for consideration by all parents and are only imposed if the parents, as a whole, choose to exercise them.  Optional expenses may include:  additional tournaments, additional practice ice, scrimmages, team gear, etc. 

Required Forms: PLAYERS

What do I need to submit to SAHA?

  • USAH Consent To Treat Form:  A new form is required every year for ALL players.  A completed and signed copy MUST be received by SAHA before a player can take the ice for tryouts.  
  • GOV'T ISSUED BIRTH CERTIFICATE:  Players MUST have a birth certificate on file with SAHA.   (New players to Stillwater Area Hockey Association or those who have not submitted a birth certificate in the past are required to do so).  *This must be a government issued birth certificate - hospital issued copies will not be accepted.

*ALL required forms MUST be received by SAHA by SEPT 1, 2013 (with the exception of Mite/8U whose forms should be received by Oct 15th).

  • NEW National Electronic Background Screening.  CLICK HERE to complete.
  • CEP Cards are obtained through USAH by the SAHA Registrar.  Hard copies are NOT needed for the team books.  

    *Coaches with expired cards must complete recertification by 12/31/13.  Please check the USA Hockey website for upcoming clinic dates and locations.
